Hi, I'm Stewart, co-founder of The Greatest Outdoor Company and the inventor behind the HungerHub.
I have been fishing since I was old enough to hold a rod, and for most of that time, I accepted that cooking outdoors meant dragging half your kitchen across a field, spending twenty minutes searching for the spatula at the bottom of a bag, and eating something barely warm from a pan that was never quite right for the job.
A few years ago I started paying proper attention to the gear I was buying and honestly, what I found frustrated me. Most of it was overpriced, underbuilt or both. Expensive kit that felt cheap after one season. Gear that claimed to be complete but still needed three more purchases to function properly. Pans that warped. Stoves that felt fragile. Even the small stuff, like salt and pepper that always had to be packed separately.
I wanted one thing. I wanted to grab it on the way out the door, get to the river and cook a proper breakfast without faff. That was the challenge I set myself.
The HungerHub is the result of that problem I personally experienced. So, my idea was to create everything two people need to cook and eat properly outdoors, packed into one rugged 17-litre bucket. Every item chosen because it earns its place, and nothing included just because it looked good in a picture.
We started The Greatest Outdoor Company because we believe outdoor gear should be built to do the job and priced properly. The HungerHub is where we've started. I hope it is as useful for you as it has been for everyone who has grabbed one so far.
