Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the HungerHub, delivery, and returns. If your question is not here, email info@thehungerhub.com and the team  will reply personally.

Does it come with gas?

Gas is not included. This lets you choose the fuel type that suits your location and how you travel. The stoves work with standard camping gas canisters, which are widely available at outdoor retailers, hardware shops, and many supermarkets. We recommend Colman gas cartridge C500.

How many people does it cook for?

The HungerHub is designed for two people: two plates, two mugs, two cutlery sets, two stoves. It works perfectly well for one person who wants more equipment. Customers use it for light group cooking too.

How long does it take to set up?

Under five minutes, including attaching the shelves and support arms. Most people have everything out and the stoves lit before the five minutes is up. Open the bucket, attach the side shelves, slide in the support arms, place the stoves on the heat deflectors, and light them. That is the whole setup.

Is it heavy to carry?

The Hungerhub weighs approximately 7.5kg fully packed. Its secure carrying handle makes it comfortable and convenient to carry from your vehicle to your pitch, fishing spot or garden cooking area.

Is the pan heavy?

It is a well designed pan, so yes, it has weight to it. That is also why it cooks so well. However, it’s not as heavy as cast iron. It holds heat evenly.

What is the bucket made from?

The HungerHub uses a robust, food-grade 17-litre bucket with a secure lid. It is built to handle regular outdoor use: drops, damp conditions, the back of a Land Rover. It is not fragile. It is a working tool.

Can I use it on an open fire?

The stoves included are designed for gas canisters. The cookware (frying pan, saucepan) will work over an open fire if you have a suitable fire grate or tripod. The HungerHub is primarily a gas cooking system. Open fire use is at the user's discretion.

How do I clean it after use?

Everything wipes down or washes like standard cookware. The non stick griddle pan should be dried. Everything else washes with a standard camp wash or at home. Pack dry to avoid anything sitting wet in the bucket.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes. Every component comes with a 1-year guarantee. If anything breaks under normal use, contact us and we will sort it. We make gear to last.

What is the returns policy?
